Shades of Green

“The beauty of the forest is in all its shades of green.” The forest is a metaphor for the world and the trees are its people. This nicely flowing orginal composition celebrates the beauty in diversity that makes a forest, and hence all people, something of distinct loveliness.  Use it to promote racial and social tolerance, environmental sensitivity and global understanding. Originally published in 2002 with a SAB setting, it was re-released in 2004 in 2-part treble.

The Promise of the Garden

I wrote this work in response to the events of September 11, 2001.  This sensitive choral uses the imagery of the garden to remind us that life, though temporary, is innately beautiful and that love can heal and replenish the human heart. It’s an excellent selection for concert programming or where a memorial tribute is fitting. Poignant!
